redirecting light and its diffusion

I would like to explore a system of redirecting natural sunlight. The system would consist of a series of mirrors hidden within panels. The panels will be painted with colored pigment. When the light is redirected to these panels it will refract the color of the pigment. A series of these can be arranged to capture and redirect the light from various times of day. Each time of day can then have its own color. The effect would be a fluctuation of color throughout the day. In an abstract sense this could be considered a clock of sorts.

3) place vellum on board
4) place protective cover on board
5) place under tree after rain fall
6) remove protective cover long enough to register rain drops
7) replace protective cover after sufficient number of rain drops.
8) plot points
